Dr. Sharmil Kurian
Chief Client Officer
Sharmil Kurian joined Coronis Health in November 2025 and serves as Chief Client Officer. Sharmil is a seasoned healthcare executive with more than 25 years of global experience across hospital systems, physician groups and revenue cycle organizations. A trained physician with deep operational and strategic expertise, he brings a distinctive blend of clinical insight, business leadership and relentless focus on client success to the healthcare revenue cycle management industry.
As chief client officer at Coronis Health, Sharmil leads enterprise-wide client engagement, customer experience and strategic growth initiatives. He is focused on amplifying the voice of the customer (VoC), strengthening long-term partnerships and delivering measurable outcomes that drive client satisfaction, retention and value. Known for his performance-driven and solutions-oriented leadership style, he has a proven track record of building high-performing teams and implementing transformational strategies that enhance productivity, streamline operations and elevate service delivery.
Prior to joining Coronis Health, Sharmil served in a senior executive role at Mayo Clinic where he led hospital and transplant revenue cycle operations and directed the enterprise denials management and governance program. He drove the optimization of complex transplant workflows through automation and process redesign, enabling more efficient, accurate and scalable operations.
Earlier in his career, Sharmil held leadership roles, including global chief operating officer at HealthPrime Inc., as well as senior positions at R1 RCM, Accredo (Cigna Specialty Pharmacy), UnityPoint Health, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, BJC HealthCare and Washington University School of Medicine. He served as a board member for Coronis Health where he provided strategic guidance on client engagement, operational performance and global delivery excellence.
Sharmil holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Master of Health Administration (MHA) from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a certified inpatient coder (CIC) and holds certifications in six sigma and lean management methodologies.
